CHASSIS KITS
This is the JDS Racing Chassis kit page. For 2006 we did some up-dating a re-design of our popular chassis. All of our chassis have been engineered on the latest SolidWorks 3D CAD program. This process allowed us to build the chassis in real 3D to make sure every part has an exact fit. We are so excited about the final results. So we decided to share some of the drawing screen shots with you. If you click on the pictures you will see a larger view of each of the chassis in full 3D. Some of the shots are of the chassis completely assembled ready to race. This allows you to see a completed piece. Hopefully this will help you decide which JDS Racing chassis will fit your needs.

All JDS Racing chassis are made using the highest quality spring steel. We designed all chassis parts at .035 inch thick. This allows for better fitting parts and a lighter chassis overall. All mating parts are notched for puzzle like assembly. No miss aligned parts!

   JDS 2002 - Genesis InLine 06'

 JDS Racing was the first to produce a production inline drag chassis. By mounting the motor inline allows for a narrower track width. Making it more versatile to whatever style car you want to build. The 06' version brings several years of racing these type cars to the forefront. The JDS 2002 is designed for standard size tires, 1.0 to 1.1 inch. The axel uprights are now tied into the motor plate. Along with an upper motor plate brace. Making the motor box more ridged. This decreases the deflection caused by the torque of the motor. Keeping the pinion gear more on centerline for less bind. The main section of the chassis is a 3 piece design. This allows you to make the side rails out of stainless tube. This also makes for a very versatile design allowing any length car to be built, Sedan to Funny Car. This chassis is very popular for MM/PS, BB/FC and index classes.

For scale size tires taller than 1.1 inch, we have made an add-on kit. JDS 2002S is a new upright and motor plate. Raising the axel location. See it below for more information.

 

 
 

    JDS 2002 S - InLine Scale Tire Kit

This is an add-on kit for the JDS 2002 Genesis InLine. This kit allows for the use of tall scale size tires, 1.1 inch or larger. This kit includes 2 Uprights, 1 Motor plate.

  JDS 2003 - Revolution "C" 06' 

The JDS Racing "Revolution C" is a sidewinder style c-can chassis. The 06' version has many up-dates and changes. The motor box area has been re-designed. A 20% more ridged motor box along with a gusseted screw in motor plate. The screw in motor design eliminates the need to solder the motor in. Floating upper rear body mount. Adjustable front axel mount. We also designed in cut out slots for the front weight wings. This allows you to build this chassis for both narrow and wide body cars. Plenty of gear clearance for even the largest spur gears. The main section of the chassis is a 3 piece design. This allows you to make the side rails out of stainless tube. This also makes for a very versatile design allowing any length car to be built, Sedan to Funny Car. This is a perfect all around very tunable class or index style chassis.

 

 

 

   JDS 2004 - Lightning InLine 06'

The JDS Racing "Lightning" was designed as a inline door slammer style chassis for those of you that don't want to deal with soldering stainless tube side rails. Both C and D style motors will fit. The narrow chassis design allows for a narrower track width keeping the tires under the body without cutting the wheel wells out. This is a perfect one piece sportsman style chassis. This chassis has been used for both MM/PS, Super Stock and index classes

 

 
 
   JDS 2005 - Evolution Pro 06'

The JDS Racing "Evolution Pro" is one of the ultimate pro chassis out there today. The 06' version has a redesigned motor box for quicker 60ft times. This is the perfect chassis for any cobalt motor F/C or P/S. The upper rear body mount has been slotted so the body can float if desired. The front nose has been designed for several different side rail configurations, either straight or angled. The nose weight has been slotted so that different width bodies can be mounted. The front axel mount is not only slotted for different wheel bases. It to can be cut for different heights. We have supplied two different width wheelie bar mounts. One is full width, the second is narrow so that a narrow wheelie bar track with can be run. The advantage to the narrow wheelie bar mount is the the wheels of the wheelie bar don't run in the track glue causing drag. The main section of the chassis is a 3 piece design. This allows you to make the side rails out of stainless tube. This also makes for a very versatile design allowing any length car to be built, Sedan, Funny Car or Dragster. The previous versions have set many track records and wins. This one can only be better.

   JDS 2007 - S/C Dragster 06'

The JDS Racing "S/C Dragster" has been several months in development. This chassis will change the way we look at comp dragster. First this is an inline driveshaft car. The motor has been moved forward so that more forward weight can be transferred to the rear. Next the motor box and axels are boxed. This makes for the most ridged drive train area of any drag racing slot car. The rear wheelie bars mount at the chassis is slotted so that any height can be achieved. The rear body mount is slotted for body float. The chassis is very narrow so that scale dragster style bodies can be run. This chassis utilizes stainless tube side rails for different wheel bases. Supplied in the kit is a stainless driveshaft.

Bodies, Drivers and Scale Comp Motors will be available thru BAD BOY RESINS. This is a must have in your racing stable.
